I was not expecting this; It has not ever been the case with anything I've ordered from Bass Japan, Instruments, Hard-Shell case for Killer, and gig bag for Psy.
Why did this occur?

Also:
The battery compartment was stuck, unable to open- So much so that I took the instrument to my tech, who was able to pry it open, but it is not fit right- I will
need to have it replaced. Not a major issue, but to replace with a similar or equal Gotoh, it will cost around $25.00

If I were in Japan, I coukd have it repaired under warranty, but obviously with shipping, not an option at all.

アメリカでの関税*ドルが到着時に課されました。
これは予想外で、今までBass Japanから注文したものにこんなことは決してありませんでした(楽器、Killerのハードシェルケース、Psyのギグバッグ)。
どうして今回このようになったのでしょうか。

バッテリーコンパートメントが詰まっていて開きません。こちらの技術者に楽器を持ち込まなければならず、開くようになったものの、きちんとフィットしません。修理が必要になります。大きな問題ではないですが、類似の、または同じGotohと交換するには＄25ほどかかります。

もし日本であれば保証内で修理可能でしょうが、国外輸送してもらったので、それもかないません。
