4月8日、ホテルオークラ東京で、2月12 日に肺炎のため82歳で亡くなったPCO最大手コングレの代表取締役会長、隈﨑守臣氏の「お別れの会」が執り行なわれ、各界からおよそ500人が参列した。
隈﨑氏は銀行での勤務を経て1990年にコングレを設立。数々の医学会や国際会議等の運営を手掛け、業界最大手に育て上げた。また、1998年にはPCOや関連企業・団体で構成する業界団体、全国コンベンション運営事業者協議会(現日本コンベンション事業協会=CPA) の設立に尽力、初代会長に就任した。
Mr. Kumazaki worked for a bank and founded the Congre in 1990. Engaged in the management of some medical societies and international conferences, and made his company the biggest one in the business. Also in 1998, he helped the foundation of the National Convention Operating Company Council (Now it is Nippon Convention Agency = CPA), which is a business group consists of PCO, related companies and organizations, and he became the first president.
Moriomi Kumasaki worked in a bank and established the Congress Corporation in 1990. The company deals with the operations of a number of medical societies and international conferences and became the largest one in the industry. In addition, he was instrumental in the founding of industry groups made up of the PCO and related companies and businesses and the national convention operating company Council (currently known as the Nippon Convention Agency = CPA) in 1998 and became it's first chairman.
He established Congress in 1990 after working for a bank. He managed several medical associations and international conferences, etc., and grow it to the largest corporation in its industry.
In 1998, he made an effort to establish Japan Convention Management Association( currently "Convention Planners Association of Japan"), congress organization consisting of
PCO as well as corporation and organization related thereto. He took a position of the first chairman.
PCO's largest Congres and died at age 82 of pneumonia on February 12 was performed,
about 500 people have attended from all quarters at Hotel Okura Tokyo.
Mr. Kumasaki founded the Congress in 1990 after the work of the bank.
He worked on operations for numerous international conferences and Medical Society,
brought up them to the industry's largest.
In 1998, he committed to the establishment of Industry groups to be configured with related companies and organizations and PCO,
the National Convention operating company Council (now Nippon Convention Agency = CPA), and was appointed as the first president.
