人気俳優のAがB氏の人気漫画をC監督が実写映画化する「D」に主演することが決まった。Aの役は明かされておらず共演陣も後日発表予定。ストーリーを含め秘密のベールに包まれているが巨人に襲われ荒廃した世界観を生かすため、廃墟の聖地といわれる長崎県の端島（通称・軍艦島）での撮影を予定しているという。世界遺産暫定リスト入りした０９年以降では、同所で映画が撮影されるのは初となる。アニメ「E」のF氏がキャラクターデザインを担当するなど各分野の第一人者が同映画のために集結したことも発表された

A's role is not clear and co-stars will be announced at a later date. Though the story is shrouded in mystery, it's said that filming is to take place on Hashima (aka: Battleship Island) in Nagasaki Prefecture to make use of its scenery which looks like a giant man attacked it.
