The area around Mount Fuji is famous for textile industry. There has been a very rare and simple style of textile called "Ooishi tsumugi" near Lake Kawaguchi. The program consists of the lecture on the history of "Ooshima tsumugi" and its features. Weaving industries are active around Mt. Fuji. There used to be ”Oishi pongee" which is rare and naive weaving industry near the Kawaguchi Lake. During the program. we listen to the features and history of "Oishi porgee," and try to make your own mat by recycling wood waste from inherited weaving factories around Mt. Fuji.
