それは過去に彼の祖父が社会の法を破ったことにより、彼の家族が苦しんだことが原因です。なので彼は、たとえ自分が死ぬかもしれない状況の中でも、常に誠実な人です。

The reason behind that is, in past, his grandfather broke the rules of his company due to which his family went through a hard time. Therefore, even in the conditions where he is likely to die, he is always sincere.
Being extra-ordinarily serious, he is sometimes unable to understand the atmosphere, but that is also cute.
