The Advance Innovation Program showcases 25 select Australian startups to potential U.S. partners and investors
25 Australian startups have been selected into the Advance Innovation Program, through which they will pitch and showcase their ideas to potential investors and partners in Silicon Valley.
A lot of things seem to be happening on the ground in Australia. Twenty-five Australia startups were recently selected into the Advance Innovation Program, an annual initiative that showcases Australian innovations to the U.S., with the aim of connecting the next generation of Australian entrepreneurs and innovators with dynamic global networks, key business insiders and investors.
Advance Innovation Programに参加するオーストラリアのスタートアップ25社が選出された。これらのスタートアップは同プログラムを通じ、彼らにとって将来的なシリコンバレーの投資家／パートナーとなりうる人達に向けて、各自のアイデアをピッチ・披露する。
オーストラリアでは、いろんなことが起きているようだ。最近、オーストラリアのスタートアップ25社がAdvance Innovation Programに選出された。1年に1度行われるこのプログラムは、オーストラリアの次世代の起業家やイノベーターを、ダイナミックでグローバルなネットワークやビジネスの内情を良く知るキーパーソンおよび投資家と結びつけることを目的として、オーストラリアのイノベーションをアメリカに紹介している。
25社のオーストラリアの新興企業はアドバンス・イノベーション・プログラム内で厳選された企業であり、そのプログラムを通してアメリカのシリコン・バレーの潜在的な投資家および企業パートナーに対し、各新興企業の考えを売り込んだり提示したりします。
オーストラリアの土地では多くのことが起こっているようです。25社の新興企業は最近、アドバンス・イノベーション・プログラムで選出されました。そのプログラムはオーストラリアの革新をアメリカ合衆国に示す毎年恒例の取り組みの1つであり、ダイナミックなグローバル・ネットワーク、主要なビジネス・インサイダーを、次世代のオーストラリア起業家および革新者に繋げる狙いがあります。
As part of the program, participating companies will go through pitching workshops, Skype mentorship sessions from Silicon Valley-based successful entrepreneurs, as well as a three-day trip to Silicon Valley to network and experience life in the valley.
The program kicks off in April. Here are the 25 companies that have been selected:
1. Ollo Mobile is a virtual mobile operator which claims it is the easiest and fastest way to keep the “vulnerable” members of your family connected.
2. ProGaming is an online transactional platform that adapts to any video game on PC and gaming consoles, which gamers can use to wager money on their gaming skill.

3. Tapestry helps older generations stay connected to their families, friends and the communities in which they live.
4. Insvrance has a “battled-hardened team” that is changing the face of insurance technology.
5. Triplebackup changes how SMBs back up and provide near-zero downtime after a disaster.
6. OneTouch has developed software that can read and understand all types of documents, and automatically extract and repurpose data to provide an automated back office.

7. HealthKit is a global platform for doctors and patients all over the world. It focuses on building global health data to find cures for diseases and resolve underlying health issues.
8. Capture Group has developed an app, Capture.Us, which allows the user to create better videos on their smartphone, and share them with family, friends and colleagues.
9. MComms TV specialises in live video stream transcoding, monitoring and advertisement insertion for the web, broadcast and mobile networks.
10. SeeForge is an enterprise grade mobile reporting platform, which makes it easy for companies to transfer their existing paperwork and processes onto any mobile device.

11. MandraIT specialises in the development of the AG SUITE, an integrated rural platform, which will be the most complete and informed rural enterprise management solution.
12. Slide Fish simplifies the process of sharing feedback on documents and presentations online. These materials can be delivered to any browser, platform or device without downloads.
13. Mathspace is a cloud-based mathematics eLearning application that combines the textbook, workbook and mark book into a single platform.
14. Invoice Smash lets businesses automatically import supplier invoices and bills into their accounting system with one click, which means no more data entry.

17. Marketing 4 Restaurants provides the simplest way for restaurant owners to start growing their database.
18. Slipperfits is an application that allows users to safely find mutual connections with people they know.
19. dataGO is aiming to solve the problem of keeping people connected at a reasonable price when they travel overseas.

21. Calico stands for CALories In Calories Out. It is a system that helps people become fitter via a number of tools including “Burn&Earn”.
22. 365cups is a mobile ordering technology for hospitality and other industries.
23. Social Pulse is a content performance analytics tool for social media. It allows marketers and advertisers to gain insight into the impact of their content on social media channels.
24. Riskflo supplies risk management technology.
25. Floq is an analytics and survey company providing behaviour insights to help creative, entrepreneurial people succeed

22．365cupsは、サービス業やその他の産業のためのモバイル注文サービス。
23．Social Pulseは、ソーシャルメディア内のコンテンツのパフォーマンスを分析するツール。マーケターや広告主はソーシャルメディアチャネルに掲載するそれぞれのコンテンツがどのような影響を与えているのかという見識をえることができる。

The 25 selected companies span different industries, which include social, gaming, mobile apps, web analytics tools, consumer web, and enterprise solutions.
On top of these companies, 10 Australia startups were also shortlisted into the second batch of the Optus Innov8 Seed program. Ollo Mobile is the only company that has been accepted into both the Advance Innovation Program and the Optus Innov8 Seed Program.
