My goal is to work as a translator in order to provide services to foreigners in Japan that do not have the necessary language skills to live their daily lives easily: through Japanese-English translation, I can make Japan an even friendlier place for foreigners to both live in and visit. In addition, I want to be involved in making products of Japanese origin marketable to and easily consumable by foreigners. Translation ensures that people of other countries can still enjoy much of the media and goods produced locally in Japan without being able to speak Japanese themselves. It is a wonderful tool for broadening Western exposure to Japan and vice versa, and it’s something that I want to make a career out of.
