昨日の台風は大した被害にならず良かったですね。
しかしわたしの明石に住んでいる友達は、夜中から朝方まで停電でエアコンが動かず寝苦しかったそうです。今日も急に雨が降って来ましたね。わたしは仕事の出先でこの雨でびしょ濡れになりました。暑いしちょうど良かったよ。

I am glad to realize that the damages by the typhoon last night were not as serious as we had anticipated beforehand.
But some of my friends living in Akashi complained about the blackout during the night to dawn, which kept their air-conditioners working. It started raining heavily all at once. I got soggy while I was outside for work.
I think I felt so cool as the temperature was so high.
