連絡が遅れてしまい、大変失礼いたしました。心からお詫びします。ホストマザーから電話をするように言われたのですが、彼女が伝えてくれた番号が違うお店の番号でした。私は現在アルバイトも探しているため、アルバイトの返事かと思い、そのまま違う番号にかけてしまいました。電話の相手に間違い電話だと言われ、帰宅後にホストマザーに詳細を改めて聞いて、間違いに気づいた次第です。先程留守番電話にメッセージを残しましたが、携帯電話を今日購入しました。番号は〜です。

As I am currently looking for part-time work, I ended up calling that other number thinking it was for a reply about a job. The person on the other number told me it was the wrong number, and once I returned home and asked my host mother again in more detail I realized the mistake.
Just earlier I left a message on your answering machine as I just bought a new phone today. My number is 〜.
