時代とともにそのテーマは変化していってますが、特にドイツ神話をモチーフに、それを鉛や観光乳剤を用いて、写真と絵画の合成などして優れた作品を生みだしました。

その後、さらに幅広く、シンボリックな神秘主義などの要素を作品に取り入れたりしながら、絵画、彫刻、インスタレーションと、今もなお、知的で壮大なテーマのもと創作活動はつきない作家であります。

この時にキーファーの作品を見ることができたのは、本当に嬉しい限りでした。
