“カオスの中の平和”
バングラデシュの首都ダッカ。
この都市ほど“カオス”という言葉が似合う場所を私は知らない。
ありとあらゆる空間を人々が埋め尽くし、空を覆う砂ぼこりと排気ガス、さらに鳴り止まないクラクションの嵐が街全体を支配している。この地を訪れる者は、その貪欲なまでに剥き出しの生命が放つエネルギーに圧倒されることだろう。しかし、砂漠に突如として湧き出たオアシスのように、慌ただしい混沌のダッカにも安らぎの瞬間があることを私は発見した。

Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh.
I don't know a place where the word "chaos" fits so well as in this city.
People fill every possible space, and the entire city is dominated by the dust and exhaust fumes that cover the sky, as well as the incessant honking of horns. Visitors to this place are overwhelmed by the energy of its voracious, bare life. But like an oasis that suddenly springs up in the desert, I discovered that even in the hectic chaos of Dhaka, there are moments of peace.
