4歳児クラス(年中)の英語力

年中クラスを5月に撮影。子どもたちの英語力の参考としてご覧ください。
英語圏の居住歴が無く、途中入園の子も非常に多いですが、先生の英語を理解し、英語でしっかりと伝えています。

There are extremely many children who have never lived in an English-speaking country and entered kindergarten in the middle of the school year but they understand the teachers' English and are able to communicate properly in English.

火山の実験

Job training (科学者)のレッスンで実験を行いました。惑星を学習している中で、火山がある惑星が登場したので、その火山を作ってみることにしました。画用紙で火山に見立てた山を作り、重曹・洗剤・食紅をその中に入れました。そこに酢を入れると、泡のようなものが噴き出し、火山にそっくり!火山から出てくる溶岩に子どもたちは大興奮でした!

An experiment of volcano

We did an experiment as a lesson of Job training (for scientists). We decided to make the volcano because we found a planet with volcano in it while learning about a planet. We used a paper to make a mountain looking like a volcano, and put a baking soda, detergent, and a food coloring in it. When pouring vinegar in it, something like a bubble spurted through the volcano, and this really alike a real volcano! Children were really excited by lava coming from the volcano.

惑星の名前を記憶するのではなく、それぞれの惑星がどういった特性があり、自分たちの住んでいる地球と何が違うのか、そんなことを色々と話していると、子どもたちはとても興味を持ち、あっという間に覚えてしまいました。

They don't memorize the names of the planets. Rather, they talk about different things such as how each of the planets have their special characteristics, and how different they are to the Earth that they themselves live in. In so doing the children become interested and memorize them before you know it.

転園が誕生日月だった事もあり、園のご配慮で、馴染みやすい様にと初日にお誕生日会をして頂きました。また、親の私にも、午前と午後に分けて、その日の息子の様子をアプリで写真付きで送ってくださり、とても安心出来ました。

My child has experienced changing kindergartens on his birthday, and thanks to the kindergarten's consideration, he received a birthday party on his first day to get to know everyone better. And they were also kind enough to send pictures to me of my son through an app on the morning and afternoon of that day so that made me feel very relieved.

初日降園後『新しい園の方が好き!明日も行きたい!』とその日の内容やお友達が出来たことを笑顔で話してくれました。
その後も毎日、アプリで園での様子や伝達事項を送ってくださるので伝え漏れも少ないですし、直接質問も出来るので不安や質問も解消されています。
まだ学んだ事を全て話すのは難しい年頃なので息子との会話にも役立っています。

The very first day I collected him from school he talked to me with a big smile in his face how his day was at the school and about his new friends like “I like my new school more! I wants to go tomorrow as well!” .
I like how everyday I get kept updated on the school app with what he is up to in his class and with some information which means I won’t miss things that I need to know and I can even ask you guys directly and can get your answers to my questions which actually makes me feel so reassured.
It helps me communicate with my son at home as well because he’s still a bit too young to show out things he learnt at school.

以前の園はオールイングリッシュで、日本語が使える時間もなく、聞きたい事・話したい事も自然と制限されていて、生徒への目が行き届いていない印象でしたし、園での事を家で話す事もなく、積極的なタイプではありませんでしたが、転園1週間後の授業参観では、自ら手を挙げたり、初めて見る積極的な姿・変化の早さにとても驚きました。そして皆んなが一緒に考え、行動し、先生方もその子達のペースに合わせて見てくれていました。

His previous school was done all in English and the got no time using Japanese which naturally limited him to ask/talk to the teachers where apparently the kids weren’t in their eyes and he didn’t talk to me about his day at school at all which I say wasn’t a very active kid but then after moving to this school just within a week he joined, I saw him raising his hand spontaneously in the class observing day where I got so surprised how he’s changed in this shirt period of time looking at him being so active for the very first time. And every kid was thinking and behaving together where teachers are standing by behind respecting the own pace of each kid.

先生方の目が行き届いていますし、息子も先生全員(他のクラスも)の名前を覚え、何か知りたい事があるとすぐに『明日先生に聞いてくる!』と言い出したり、担任の先生以外にも甘えていたり、園全体で子供との信頼関係がきちんと出来ているのが見て取れます。

以前の園では、3歳からホームワークがあり、また、日本語学習時間が確保出来ず、セミリンガルの心配がありました。日本語・国語が出来ないと小学校入学後に大幅な遅れを取るのでは?等、常に多くの不安がありましたが、CGKでは全て解消されました。

The teachers are paying attention to children well. My son memorizes name of his teacher and teachers of other classes. He says that he asks a teacher tomorrow if he wants to know something. He can rely on the teacher other than homeroom teacher. I can see that trust has been clearly established between the kindergarten in whole and children.

In the kindergarten he used to go before, he had homework from three years old. There was no hour to learn Japanese, and we worried about semi-lingual. We had many worries all the time such as he might be behind other children academically after entering elementary school if he does not understand Japanese. They are all solved in CGK.

英語の他に日本の園で習う文化や歌なども覚え、披露してくれるので、祖父母も凄く喜んでいますし、披露ついでに楽しく復習出来ています。
園の雰囲気も暖かく、有資格者の先生ばかりなので、学習面や育児相談もとてもしやすく、1人で悩むことも減りました。

Other than English they memorize knowledge about the culture and songs etc they learn in the Japanese kindergarten, then make a presentation which also makes grandparents very happy. Along with their presentation they are also able to review what they learned while having fun.
The atmosphere at the kindergarten is warm, and the teachers are all qualified that it is very easy to consult them about learning and childcare too, and has lessened the number of parents who worry about these by themselves alone.

とても熱心な先生ばかりで、食事マナーを学んで本物のフレンチレストランを貸し切りで体験したり、事前学習でゴミ問題を学んでから、近隣のお掃除をしたり、一つの事を1日で詰め込むのではなく、時間をかけ色々な角度から子供達が興味を持つ様に工夫しながら教えてくれ、見聞きだけではなく体験・経験をさせてくれるのでより深く理解出来ていると思います。
家庭のみでは出来ない事、親子で一緒に参加する事もあるので、子供と一緒に貴重な体験や素敵な思い出が作れています。

I think he is able to deeply understand through the kindergarten being full of very passionate teachers he is able to learn table manners and experience making reservations at a real French restaurant, cleans the neighborhood after learning about the garbage problem beforehand, the teachers do not pack one lesson in one day but rather they take time to teach while making ingenious devices from various angles to hold the children's interest, and the children don't only watch and listen but are allowed to experience for themselves.
There are activities where parent and child can participate on things together that cannot be done only at home, so we can make valuable experiences and wonderful memories together with our children.
