MC or Material Cert is issued to us by our vendors responsible for supplying our probes, flow sections, sensors. This cert simply contains the percent composition of all the alloys present in the raw material used to fabricate the flow bodies, probes, and sensors supplied to Sierra. The pressure and leak test certification serves the same purpose which simply tells the customer that Sierra performed either a positive or negative pressure test on the sensors to make sure it meets our published allowable working pressure. Whether or not the customer orders this cert, a pressure test is still performed to each sensor to make sure make sure it meets our manufacturing standards prior to shipment.
