As the product you purchased, sound of Japanese products are very good, but the voltage is set to 100 V. Do you use a voltage converter for the voltage in the USA? The difference in voltage may lead to a failure.

Are you using appropriate voltage? Like the item you bought, items made in Japan make very good sound but the voltage is set as 100V. Are you using converter to change voltage to US spec? Different voltage may cause failure.
