How about reshipping this on 24th today?
Although it won't make it by Christmas, but if everything goes fine the item might be delivered during the new year holidays.
All the expenses for this arrangement will be covered at my end of course, and we will take care of the insurance claim to the post office, so you needn't do anything.
As it could take over a month at the longest if you place an investigation request of an item to the post office, this is the fastest possible method to ship it to you.
If you wish for a full refund, I can do so immediately.
