日本の技術力は本当に凄いと思います。実は日本の技術が凄いのは世界の人たちがよく知る大手メーカーが凄いんじゃないんです。
日本の中小企業が凄いんです。東京には町工場が多くある地域があるんだけど、今でもF1のエンジンを切削するときに使う超精密な刃物とかも、３人ほどの職人しかいない小さな町工場で作ってるんです。
ここが日本の技術力の根源なんです。
でもね、日本人には世界の人たちに比べて非常に劣っている部分も理解してます。勿論、僕も含めてだけど....それは語学力なんだよね。特に会話力。
I think the technological strength of Japan is really great. As a matter of fact, the greatness of Japan's technology is does not come from world-wide well known manufacturers.
It comes from Japan's smaller companies. In Tokyo there are areas with many small factories, but even now, when cutting the F1 engine, using high-precision cutting tools, a small factory of 3 or less workers makes it.
This is the root of Japan's technological strength.
But, there are also areas in which Japanese people are less advanced compared to people from all over the world. Of course, and that includes me.. it's in the language ability, isn't it. Especially the speaking ability.
