As I lived in Moscow for 3 years, I know things around Russian postal service.
I wrote as a gift worth $10 on delivery slip. Usually it is delivered without any problem, but it sounds like customs check in your town is very strict.
I can send you an invoice and receipt of the item by email.
What do you need to receive the parcel?
