CheckInTonight helps you book hotels quickly at amazing prices

Last minute hotel booking app CheckInTonight gets you the best deals on a curated list of hotels.

Earlier last week, we wrote about the official launch of HotelQuickly, a mobile app that allows you to quickly book last minute hotels. Another similar app has just came to our attention: CheckInTonight. Similar to HotelQuickly, CheckInTonight is an app that allows you to access last minute discounts from within a curated list of hotels. Unlike HotelQuickly though, CheckInTonight started off as a web application back in December, and only launched its mobile app in March this year. Founded by Mark Southby alongside team members Jo Elford and Ciaran Doyle, the company is self-funded and is currently focusing on Southeast Asia with an inventory of over 120 hotels. So how does it compare to HotelQuickly? CheckInTonight allows its users to book hotel rooms for either today or the following day, while HotelQuickly only allows same day booking. Unlike HotelQuickly too, you can book a room for up to four nights, provided the hotel has the inventory.

Traction-wise, CheckInTonight has have more than 16,000 downloads for its recently launched iOS app. Out of the 16,000 total downloads, 178 hotel bookings have been made. The company takes a percentage of the booking value through its web and mobile portal. “European and Australia based tourists make up approximately 75 percent of our bookings at the moment, we have seen the most bookings from people arriving in Cambodia. We are looking at targeting business travellers in the region.” – Ciaran Doyle, Digital Manager.

With presence in Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Indonesia and Singapore, the company is looking to enter Hong Kong, Malaysia and Macau in the coming weeks.
