I called the postal service and they say it is being held in customs, and that they can hold it for up to 45 days. The event I purchased the lens for will be over before July 4. I've purchased several lenses from Japan in the past. This is the first time this has ever occurred

郵便局に問い合わせしたところ、荷物は税関にあるとのことで、45日間は保管してもらえるとのことです。購入したレンズは7月4日までには欲しいものです。今までいくつか日本でレンズを購入しましたがこのようなことは初めてです。

Hello, I received the lens 2 days ago... I have done extensive testing (even micro focus adjustments) since then, and I never get sharp image a f2.8.

I have comparable images from this lens and my DA*300, and it is evident to me that this lens has a focus problem at f2.8. Stopped down at f4, it helps, but I did not bought a f4 lens. This lens is supposed to be sharp at f2.8!

I would like to return the lens and have a refund. What is the process ?

私は比較の対象になる似たようなレンズとDA300を持っていのでわかりますが、明らかにf2.8でのフォーカスに問題があります。f4まではなんとかなりますが、このレンズはf2.8対応のはずです。

このレンズは返品して、返金を希望します。どのような手順になりますか？

It's 10pm here and I have just found out that the USPS attempted to deliver my view finder on May 1. They claim they left a notice of attempted delivery in my mailbox but I didn't get it. I found out about the delivery by checking the tracking number. I will attempt to get the view finder tomorrow morning but USPS has a polity of returning packages to the sender after waiting for five days. That will be May 6 tomorrow. I just want you to know that I do want the view finder so if they contact you about returning the package ask them to hold it. Thank you.

What day to do think you will be flying in to Honolulu?

It would be nice to have you stay longer and fly to our island and stay at least 3-4 nights and enjoy the “real” Hawaii.

“The research shows there are a growing number of businesses that are successfully growing their operations over time and adding much-needed jobs to the African marketplace,” said VC4Africa cofounder Ben White, in a statement. “This is a key message to investors. Now is the time to get involved in this space.”

VC4Africa is a platform for connecting entrepreneurs in Africa with investors. In general, there’s not a lot of solid information on the African startup ecosystem, which is why VC4A says it produced the report.

Again, these are tiny numbers by Silicon Valley standards. But there’s a reason that European-based companies like Rocket Internet and Chinese are investing a lot of time and money in the region: Its small base of Internet adopters is growing rapidly.

The question now is how long before all this activity has a meaningful impact on Africa’s economy.

Google’s data compression feature first showed up in March 2013 as part of the Chrome 26 beta release for Android. It was labeled “experimental” for many months, and only officially arrived for mobile users in January 2014 with the launch of Chrome 32 for Android and iOS. At the time, Google promised the service could reduce data usage by up to 50 percent while browsing the web on a mobile device.

Yet the feature still isn’t widely used because it is turned off by default (to turn it on, fire up Chrome for Android or iOS, go to Settings, Bandwidth management, choose “Reduce data usage,” and then turn the toggle to “On”). Google could one day choose to flip this switch for all users, though because it routes all your traffic through the company’s servers, doing so would likely result in a backlash from security and privacy advocates. Instead, Google may consider prompting users to turn it on themselves, especially if it detects they are on a slow mobile connection.

The feature is certainly much more useful on mobile: It can save you money if you’re on a tight data plan, in addition to speeding up page loads and beefing up security. Chances are that browsing on the desktop is already quite speedy for most people, and Google’s Safe Browsing feature is already built into Chrome for Windows, Mac, and Linux.

In addition, Mi TV 2 features a wide range of video content via cooperation with partners including licensed content provider GITV, video sites Youku Tudou, iQiyi, Xunlei, Huace Film & TV and PPS. Some 240,000 hours of copyrighted video content has been integrated to the platform, according to the company.

To boost sales of its smart TV devices, Xiaomi invested US$$1 billion in digital content last year. The majority of this funding has been poured into stakes in China’s leading streaming video platforms Youku Tudou and iQiyi.

The product also has an integrated entertainment center with embedded video games paired with Xiaomi gamepad, online educations contents, music, and so on.

The availability of ever-bigger and cheaper TVs has put 40-inch TV models in danger of being regarded as small screens, though 40-inch screens haven’t lost their attraction, especially for those who want a second TV in their bedroom.

Xiaomi launched a 49-inch Mi TV 2 model last May in China for the equivalent of US$640. The addition of a smaller-sized smart TV completes the Mi TV lineup.
