How to change a wheel bearing with a 60 € press

All stages: hub removal, extraction of the bearing, new bearing refitting, hub refitting with the press

Use of a cheap 6 ton hydraulic press

Here is the 6 ton press that will be used

If you don't have an impact wrench, unscrew the nut with a long socket wrench when the wheel is on the ground

Place the hub on the press

Place a socket of diameter slightly lower than the bearing

Actuate the lever

Retrieve the socket

If you are lucky, the bearing will not remain on the hub

If you are unlucky, part of the bearing will remain on the hub

The bearing is removed

Adjust the height of the press

6 ton pressure is not enough to press the bearing out of the hub

Come cambiare il cuscinetto di una ruota con una pressa da 60 euro
Passaggi: rimozione del mozzo, estrazione del cuscinetto, montaggio del nuovo cuscinetto, reinserimento del mozzo.
Utilizzo di una pressa idraulica da 6 tonnellate.
Questa è la pressa da 6 tonnellate che verrà utilizzata.
Se non avete a disposizione uno svitatore elettrico, utilizzate una lunga chiave a bussola per svitare il dado dopo aver poggiato la ruota a terra.
Posizionate il mozzo sulla pressa.

Azionate la leva.
Recuperate la bussola.
Se siete fortunati, il cuscinetto non resterà sul mozzo

Calibrate l'altezza della pressa.
Una pressione di 6 tonnellate non è sufficiente a far uscire il cuscinetto dal mozzo.

How to flush and bleed the brake fluid with a bottle

Observe the bleeding sequence recommended by the manufacturer

On the Peugeot 206, the bleeding will be done in this order: front left wheel, front right wheel, left rear wheel, right rear wheel

For a complete brake flush, drain the contaminated brake fluid contained in the master cylinder reservoir (this operation is not required for a simple bleeding of the circuit)

Fill the reservoir with the new brake fluid

Bleeding the left front wheel

Remove the protective cap

Place the wrench on the bleed screw

Connect a hose to the bleed screw (for example windshield washer hose)

The connection must be completely sealed: if necessary tight the hose with a rislan

Come fare il cambio e lo spurgo del liquido dei freni con una bottiglia.
Procedete secondo la sequenza consigliata dal produttore per lo spurgo.
Per la Peugeot 206, lo spurgo va effettuato nel seguente ordine: ruota anteriore sinistra, ruota anteriore destra, ruota posteriore sinistra, ruota posteriore destra.
Per uno spurgo completo, togliete il liquido dei freni contenuto nel serbatoio del cilindro principale (l'operazione non è necessaria per uno spurgo semplice del circuito).
Riempite il serbatoio con il liquido nuovo. Per spurgare la ruota anteriore sinistra, togliete il tappo protettivo, mettete la chiave sulla vite dello spurgo, collegate un tubo alla vite dello spurgo (per esempio un tubo dell'acqua per tergicristalli). Il collegamento deve essere completamente saldo. Se necessario stringete il tubo con un morsetto.
