5S stands for 'Seiri', 'Seiton', 'Seisou', 'Seiketsu' and 'Shitsuke', named after the initial letters, which are arrangement, order, cleaning, cleanliness and discipline in English.

私はここからさらに研究を進めました。英語の歌を使ったリスニングと発音トレーニングが紹介されている英語耳という本を読みました。この本では1曲選んだらその曲を使って300回練習するという方法が記されていました。この本では英語の母音、子音がゆっくり発音されているバラードの曲を選んで練習することが推奨されています。自分で決められないという人にはカーペンターズの曲をおすすめされています。私が調べたところ、カーペンターズは他のインターネットサイトなどでもよく勧められているようです。
