A: It’s quite different. Canadiano has a metal filter instead of paper, it’s made out of wood instead of ceramic, it’s hand crafted by a passionate team of craftsmen and it looks very different than any other pour-over you have ever seen!
Well… What it has in common with the standard pour-overs is that they all use gravity to filter hot water through coffee grinds.

A: Any of our standard editions, Birch, Walnut, Cherry and White Oak are perfect for starters. Read a bit more about each editions and pair them with your favorite beans and roasts. As an example, Cherry and Birch are best with light and medium roasts while we recommend dark roast beans with Walnut, Oak and Cherry. Later on when you become a Canadiano master, we recommend that you try one of the Raw editions or the special editions which we release every few months. Twitter or Instagram would be the best way to stay in touch with the release of the special editions!

箱に描かれている家紋は、「三つ葉葵」なので、おそらく江戸時代の徳川家
に由来するものだと思います。

This is a very rare and valuable item with a grinding stones in a box lacquered by Urushi, Japanese traditional lacquer. The box also has a drawer for razor blade.

This type of boxes, which were only used by Shogun or other samurais who were in a higher social status, must have been made three hundred years ago.

The family crest, painted on the box is " Mitsuba-aoi, ” or three leaves of hollyhock in a circle, indicates that the box came from someone related with Tokugawa Family in Edo era.

That is because only the Shogun clan was allowed to use the "Mitsuba-aoi" crest.

The item will come with a Urushi lazquered box, a big griding sotne and two small stones. No razor blade will be attached.
