‘Labour-only building or construction services’ means building services where the value of the materials supplied is less than 10% of the turnover for those services.

If more than this amount, the business is classed as ‘General building or construction services’.

You calculate the tax you pay by multiplying your VAT flat rate by your ‘VAT inclusive turnover’.

Example
You bill a customer for £1,000, adding VAT at 20% to make £1,200 in total.

You’re a caterer, so the VAT flat rate for your business is 12.5%.

Your flat rate payment will be 12.5% of £1,200, or £150.

VAT inclusive turnover is different from standard VAT turnover. As well as business income (such as from sales), it includes the VAT paid on that income.

This Exclusive Sales, Distribution and Marketing Agreement (hereinafter called “Agreement”), to be effective as of this 1st day of April, 2008 (hereinafter the “Agreement Date”), is by and between BeasyTrans Systems, Inc. (the “PRODUCER”), and XXX, (hereinafter, referred to as “CUSTOMER”).

WITNESSETH:

WHEREAS

A.
PRODUCER is the owner of the exclusive license of the Subject Product as defined below;
B.
PRODUCER is willing and able to grant an exclusive Japanese right to market, sell and distribute the Subject Product to the CUSTOMER on the terms set forth herein;
C.
CUSTOMER desires to obtain said exclusive right to market, sell and distribute the Subject Product in Japan, as further defined in this Agreement.

この独占販売、配給及びマーケティング協定（以降、協定と呼ぶ）、2008年４月１日（以降、協定日と呼ばれる）時点で有効、はBeasyTrans Systems, Inc.によるまた同社とXXX（以降、顧客と呼ぶ）の間によるものである。

顧客は、この協定の以降で定義されている通り、ここで述べた案件の製品の日本での売り出し、販売及び卸し独占権を要求している。
