日本てぬぐいは両端が切りっぱなしになっています。端を縫っていないので乾きが早く、
汚れやホコリがたまらず衛生的で、高温多湿の日本の気候に合っています。また縫い目が
ないため、結んだり切って使う時などにも扱いやすく便利です。

新品のてぬぐいは最初のうち両端からほつれますが、何度か洗ううちに落ち着き、端から
1cm程度で自然に止まります。洗ってほつれたら長く出た糸だけをはさみで切ってお使い
ください。

The both edges of a brand new facecloth come apart in the beginning of use, but it gets stable after you wash the facecloth several times and the facecloth will not get ragged any more after the fray of the both edges become about 1cm from the edges. If you find the fray after washing, please just cut off the fraying the thread with scissors and use the facecloth.
