確かに初期設定のSLBのアクションは若干強めです。ヤマハの開発担当の方からも実際にそうきいています。
解決策としては、ナットを低く削ることです。（もともと敢えて高く作っているそうです）
また、テンションを柔らかくするためにテイルピースを緩めてセッティングすることもお勧めです。
実際にプロのSLB使いも、このようにセッティングされています。
最後に、ベルベットの弦に替えてみることもお勧めです。

以上で大分弾きやすくなると思います。
可能なら、プロのメンテナンスを受けて下さい。

It is true that the initial setting of SLB action is a little strong. I actually have heard so from the person in charge in the development center of Yamaha.
The solution is to grind down the nut to make lower position. (I heard it is intentionally made in a little higher position.)
Also I can recommend to set up to loosen the tail piece in order to get soft tention.
As a matter of fact, the professional SLB player is using the bass with such settings.
Finally, it is also recommended for you to replace the strings with the ones made with velvet.

I believe you can play much easier with the countermeasures mentioned above.
If possible, please have a professional repairman examine and adjust your bass.
