Here is a great Christmas gift: a bona-fide vintage Selmer Super Balanced Action (SBA) alto in great, original conditions. Aside from having about 97% of the original honey-gold lacquer left, the horn is damage-free. Likewise, the original case shown in the pictures is also in good order with latches working perfectly.

The serial number, 37XXX, puts the manufacturing date of this horn in 1948--the first year of the SBA model. And as the pictures show, the serial number on the body tube matches the one on the neck.
