琵琶湖疏水の通船の復活は，明治の先人たちが築き上げた貴重な産業遺産である琵琶湖疏水が市民生活や産業・文化を支えてきた建設の意義を，改めて認識して いただくことや，大津市と京都市を繋ぐ新たな観光資源を創出することにより，琵琶湖疏水沿線の大津・山科・岡崎地域の更なる活性化の源となることに寄与す る事業です。
この度，平成27年春及び秋に引き続き，「琵琶湖疏水通船復活」平成28年春の試行事業を，下記のとおり実施しますので，お知らせします。
"The revival of Lake Biwa Canal Ferryboat" is the project contributing to recognize again the signification of the construct supporting citizen life, industry and culture by Lake Biwa Canal which is precious industrial heritage constructed by ancestors in Meiji era, and to become a source activating Otsu, Yamashina and Okazaki area along with Lake Biwa Canal by creating new sightseeing resources connecting Otsu City and Kyoto City.
This time, following 2016 spring and summer, "The revival of Lake Biwa Canal Ferryboat" 2016 spring trial project will be executed as mentioned below. Please refer to below.
