月に刻まれている無数のクレーターを繊細に表現することがこの製品化プロジェクトのチャレンジです。ところで、月にはなぜあのような多数のクレーターが刻まれているのでしょうか。

そもそも地球に対してもたくさんの隕石が落ちてきています。地球は月よりも大きく重力も強いため、なおさらです。しかし、大気があるためそのほとんどは大気中で燃え尽きてしまうのです。

By the way, why are there so many craters on moon?

There are so many meteorites falling down on Earth. It's because Earth is bigger than Moon with more strong gravity, so that's why.
However, since there is air on Earth, most of meteorites burned up within the air.
