始めに使う色を決め自分の使う色の王冠が描いてあるマスに自分のキングを表向きに置く。

盾・紋章チップを盾側を上にして自分の前に置く。

先攻後攻を決める。最近チェスをしたプレイヤーが先攻になる。昔すぎてわからない場合は白が先攻になる。

自分の使う色の駒を全て、中央より自分のキングがある側の菱形のマークが描いてあるマスの上に裏向きに配置する。この時、マスを全て使わなくてもいいし、駒を重ねてもいい。
※駒を配置する時、中央に紙を置き、お互いがどこに何を配置したのかわからないようにする。

First, you decide the color to use, and set your King face-up in the square with a crown of your color.

You put the shield and crest tips before yourself with the shield side up.

Decide the first player/second player. One who played chess recently to attack first. If players do not say which one played more recently because it's too far back, white color plays first.

You set up all the men of your color face-down in the squares with the mark of the lozenge on your side from the center where your King is set; you don't need to use all the squares and can set one man on top of the other.
※When you set up the men, you put a paper wall in the center to prevent each other from knowing what are placed where.
