7月2日、日本旅行業協会（JATA）新会長の田川博己氏（現ジェイティービー代表取締役会長）が会見を行ない、新今後の取組みなどについて語った。
田川氏は6月18日に実施された定時総会で会長に就任、前会長の菊間潤吾氏は副会長となった。
新体制について田川氏は、「テクニカルな部分では大きく変わりはない」とし、海外は菊間氏、訪日を丸尾和明氏、国内は吉川氏と各委員会を３人の副会長がとりまとめる。旅行業界の社会的意義向上などさまざまな取組みを進め、観光立国から観光大国の実現を目指すという。
On July 2, Mr. Tagawa Hiromi, the new president of Japan Association of Travel Agents (JATA) (currently the chairman and CEOof JTB) gave a press conference and talked about things in future efforts.
Mr. Tagawa was appointed the president in the general meeting. Former president Mr. Kikuma Jungo became a vice president.
Mr. Tagawa mentioned about the new system saying, "There is no significant change in the technical part". Each committee is arranged by three vice presidents; Mr. Kikuma will handle overseas business, Mr. Maruo Kazuaki will handle business relating to the visit to Japan, and Mr. Yoshikawa will handle domestic business. They will make various efforts such as improving social significance of the travel industry, and aim to achieve a Tourists' large country from a tourism-oriented country.
