7／15〜17までサンパウロで、南米最大の日本文化イベントFestival do Japaoが開催される。フランスのジャパンエキスポや米国のアニメエキスポよりも、より幅広い文化をカバーしたものだ。ポップカルチャーを集中的に取り上げるのは、イベントの中の「AkibaSpace」。マンガ、アニメ、ゲーム、音楽、コスプレ、ファションなどを展開する。世界コスプレサミット2011のブラジル代表最終選考会も開催される。

Brazil holds Japan's culture event "Festival do Japao"
South america's biggest Japanese culture event "Festival do Japao" will take place in Sao Paulo from July 15 to 17.
It covers more variety of culture than Japan Expo in France or Anime Expo in US.
"Akiba Space" in the event will focus on the pop culture.
It will exhibit Mangas, Animes, games, music, cosplay and fashion.
Final selection of the international cosplay summit 2001 will also take place.
