AはMの事を気遣ってMと同じ牛肉の入っていないメニューを頼んだ。するとMは、Aが気遣ってくれたと察し質問した。Aは本当は牛肉のステーキを食べたかったのだが、気を使ってMに合わせてくれたのだ。Aは本当の気持ちを伝える。2人は牛肉が入っていないお店の特別メニューを食べている。だが後味がどこか牛肉の味がする。Mは心配になりAに尋ねた。だが料理には牛肉は入っていない。AはMを安心させる。この調査は言語能力をテストするものではない。調査で得た回答やその他の情報は研究以外には使用しない。
