メーカーに問い合わせてみました。
日付が変わらない理由としては、次のことが考えられます。
・ソーラー充電が十分でない
・都市の設定が正しくない
・電波の自動受信をOFFにしている
・時計モードになっていない
とのことでした。
また、モントリオールでお使いの場合、地形によっては電波が届いていない可能性もあるとのことです。
その場合は、日付を手動で設定する必要があるとのことです(マニュアルのE-44・45)。
今一度設定し直し、動作しない場合は、返品の手続きをとることができますのでご連絡ください。

Possible reasons why the date does not change are the following:

- Solar charge is not done enough
- The setting of your residing city is not correct
- The automatic reception of radiowave switch is turned off
- It is not set in clock-mode

It is also suggested that if using the item in Montreux, the radiowave may be out of reception depending on the land features.
In this case, it is needed that you manually set the date (item manual E-44・45) .
