Cure the Cancer through Radiation

Radiation can be used to kill or decrease the cancer cells by acting on the genes that are required for the expansion of cells through divisions, and to stimulate the mechanism which the cells are sloughed off when the replacement of the cells takes place. Radiation therapy is used to treat cancer by facilitating the mechanism as mentioned above. The types of radiation used for radiation therapy include X-ray, γ (gamma) -ray and electron ray. In addition, although it is still in research and development phase, some of the medical facilities are applying proton and heavy particle radiotherapy for a part of the treatment regime.
