本日、米国大使館において１番から６番の書類について認証を請求しましたが、米国大使から、「６番の書類にはA氏が大使の面前でサインしたとの記載があるが、これは事実と異なる（A氏は来ていない）ことから、６番の申請は承認できない」と言われ、申請が拒絶されました。

ご存知のように、日本では社長自身が大使館に行ってサインするといったことは通常行われず、会社の印鑑を用いて代理人が手続きをするということが一般的です。

今後どのように対応すべきか、あなたの返信を待っています。

We requested for a certification with the US embassy on items 1 to 6 in the document,
but they told us that "item 6 in the document states that A should be signing it in front of the ambassador, but since this is different from the actual event (A did not come) so we cannot approve the application for item 6", so the application was rejected.

As you may know, in Japan, it is not normal for the president of a company to go to the embassy to sign documents and the company's stamp is used by a representative to do the procedure.
