武士も江戸の商人もお参りにやってきました。お寺参りは、江戸の人々には遠足のように楽しいものであったと思います。祈願して、美味しいものを食べて、買い物をする。たくさんの人が集まってきて、賑やかな町になっていきました。
皆さんが宿泊している大森も江戸時代から随分と賑やかな町でした。特に、大森の東側には、海が広がっており、海遊びをする人でにぎわっていたようです。池上も江戸時代以降、栄えた町です。

それでは、大坊本行寺から見学しましょう。靴を脱いで上がっていただきます。このお寺は日蓮宗の
