「ごちそうさま」は、食事を終える際に日常的に使う言葉だが、食材の調達や調理に走り回る人達への感謝を意味している。

無駄に殺さないという意味では、極端な豊食は戒められるべきかもしれないし、毛皮のためだけに動物を殺すことにも賛成できないということには同意できる。

ただ、上記の考え方で言えば、イルカやクジラを捕獲し食べることは、牛や豚に対してやっていることと何ら変わりがなく、その意味でイルカ漁が糾弾されることは理解できない。
また、クジラ漁が糾弾され、武力行使を受けることも理解できない。

In order to exercise not to kill more than necessary, preparing extremely too much food should be warned and killing animal just for its fur should not be accepted.

Based on the above argument, catching and eating dolphin and whale is nothing different from what we do to cow and pig. From that perspective, it is beyond my comprehension that dolphin fishing is condemned.

In the same way, it is beyond my comprehension that whale fishing is condemned and used of force.
