東武バス関係者は「現在、スカイツリーシャトルには3台のバスが就いているが、5月22日のツリー開業にあわせて4台で運行される予定」と話しており、この新デザインバスが導入される見込み。

昨年3月に運行を開始したスカイツリーシャトル（上野・浅草線）は、東京スカイツリー前・浅草雷門・上野公園などを結び、土・休日の10時から18時の間で運行している。乗車1回の運賃は大人200円。
