Please do not break the ice in the cave.

It will result in damage to property. If you break it, you will be fined 300,000 yen.

About 100 years ago, three cabins used to exist in this cave.

The temperature is low even in summer, so the old people utilized the cave as a substitute for a refrigerator.

People used to store silkworm eggs in the caves.

Since silkworms are insects, they make cocoons only once a year.

By artificially hibernating them in the caves, the timing of cocoon production was controlled to mass-produce silkworms.

Silkworm eggs were sent from all over the country and were frozen and stored in this cave.

I have been a guide of this cave for 12 years.
