Do not use Acetone (or nail polish remover) as they will damage the vinyl integrity esp overtime. You might also run into paint not taking to the vinyl for future painting attempts. That’s why I recommend Windsor & Newton. It’s gentle and extremely effective and the tried and true way to strip a kit. You can use this with brushes, with q-tips for creases and nooks, and paper towel too.
Additionally, after stripping, you’ll want to prep your kit just as you would as you begin to paint. This means give it a bath in warm water and dawn soap, rinse and leave to dry. This will ensure that any residue will be off and your canvas will be prepped to take paint again. Happy second painting.
