私の母が亡くなったときに、あなた方からの手紙がうれしかった
いただいた手紙を母の仏壇に供えた
母の葬式は家族と彼女の親友だけで小さくやった
コロナで緊急事態宣言が出ていたから
姪っ子たちは３か月間も休校でした
でも家族で一緒に過ごせる時間が多くとれた

日本の家紋はおもしろいよね
父は葬式に参加するとき家紋入りのネクタイをする
それは祖父から受け継いだネクタイ
家紋はどこにも登録しないが、墓石に彫刻してある

We're all doing well here.

When my mother passed away, I was glad to receive your letter.
I placed the letter I received on mother's alter.
We did a small funeral for mother with just family and her close friends.
After declaration of emergency because of corona,
My nieces' school was closed for 3 months.
But because of that, there's more time to spend together as family.

Japan's family crest is interesting, right?
When father attended the funeral he wore a tie with our family crest.
That necktie was inherited from grandfather.
The family crest isn't registered anywhere, but it's engraved on the tombstone.
