あぶくま洞(鍾乳洞)
あぶくま洞は1969年9月現在の釜山採石場から石灰岩の採掘中に発見され、1973年観光用に洞窟内部が整備され一般公開されました。
観光用のルートは600ｍですが、一般に公開されていないルートを含めると全長3,300ｍになります。
今後の探査により全長は変更される可能性があります。
あぶくま洞は約8000万年前(白亜紀後期)に石灰岩が結晶質の石灰岩に変化したと推定されている。
Abukuma-do(limestone cave)
Abukuma-do was discovered in September 1969, at actual Kamayama quarry, while quarrying limestone. In 1973 it was opened to public for tourism after the maintenance of the interior.
The route touristique is 600m, but it is, in fact, total length of 3.300m including routes non open to public.
In the future research we might change the total length.
Abukuma-do is considered that in around 80million year ago(late Cretaceous Period) limestone had been changed to crystalline limestone.
