日米の文化交流を目的にした施設「インターナショナルラーニングセンター」が、岩国市門前町にオープンした。運営する米国人のジャッキー・アレンさん(44)＝同市黒磯町＝は「日米の素晴らしい文化を教え合い、両国の懸け橋となる場に」と願う。
国道１８８号沿いで、門前橋南詰から約２００メートル。元動物病院だった鉄筋２階建てを改装した。１階はダイニングキッチンとレッスン室、２階はパーティーなども開ける約１００平方メートルの多目的ルームを備えている。
International Learning Center whose purpose is cultural communication between Japan and the US was opened in Monzencho, Iwakuni-city. American owner Jacky Allen who is 44 years old and lives in the Kuroiso-cho, Iwakura-city hopes that he wants the institution to be the place where people tell their wonderful cultures with each other and to be the bridge for both countries.
Along the national road No.188, it is 200 meters from the Monzen Bashi Minamizume. The second-floor rebar building which was used as an animal hospital was reformed. On the first floor, the dining kitchen and the classroom are attached. On the second floor, about 100 square meter of all-aspects room is attached.
