クラウドファンディング・イン・ジャパンーーメディア芸術祭でも注目される新鋭漫画家・萱島雄太による浮世絵×デジタルコミック
「浮世絵×デジタルコミック」、日本の伝統的なイラストレーションと、先端のメディア表現の融合を図るプロジェクトがCAMPFIREに掲載された。
Crowd Funding In Japan -- A cross between a digital comic and Ukiyoe art from Yuta Kayashima, a new manga artist who has been gaining attention at media art festivals.
"Digital Comic x Ukiyoe", a project combining traditional Japanese drawings and the latest media technology appeared in Campfire.
プロジェクトの投稿者は、イラストの仕事をしながら漫画家を目指している萱島雄太氏。学生時代よりデジタルと漫画を融合させる試みを実施し、Adobe Flashで制作した「Manga2.0」、「HACK TO THE BRAIN」の二作が、文化庁メディア芸術祭にて審査委員会推薦作品に選出された他、現在は誰でも電子書籍を作成・販売できるサイト「ブクログのパプー」にて縦スクロールに特化させた縦長デジタルコミック「西遊少女」を配信している。
The contributor of the project, Yuta Kayashima, was working as an illustrator while aiming to be a manga artist. Since he was a student, he has been experimenting with combining manga and digital technology. His combination of "Manga 2.0" and "Hack to the brain", made in Adobe Flash, was chosen by the judge committee for the Japanese Agency of Cultural Affairs. Also, he has distributed a specialized vertically written comic called "Saiyu Shojo" (A young girl's westward trip) on the site "Booklog", a site that anyone can currently make and sell ebooks on.
同氏は、2013年1月〜3月の期間にメキシコで開催される浮世絵をテーマにした現代美術の展示に参加できることに。その展示では、プロジェクターに投影した作品を鑑賞者にマウスで操作してもらう、インタラクティブ・コミックとでも呼ぶべきインスタレーションを展示予定。
展示される作品は以下のようなものとなっている。
From January to March 2013, Mr Kayashima will participate in a modern art exhibition with an Ukiyoe theme held in Mexico. He is planning to make a so-called "interactive comic", whereby the audience will be able to use a mouse to perform operations on the exhibit, displayed through a projector.
The works to be exhibited are as follows:
『浮世絵美人の三姉妹が現代へタイムスリップ。しかし現代では浮世絵ではなく、アニメ系キャラが美人とされていた。現代でも美人として認められたいと嫉妬した三姉妹は現代的美しさを求め、様々なキャラからパーツを奪い、それぞれ競うように自らの姿を変貌させていく….』
今回、その展示に必要な渡航費・制作費などを広くご支援して頂ければと思い、このプロジェクトを立ち上げた。
目標金額は¥250,000に設定された同プロジェクトは、2012/11/03にSUCCESSし、パトロンの募集を終了した。
"Three beautiful sisters from the Ukiyoe world time slip into modern times. However, now they are not Ukiyoe, but beautiful anime characters. They want to be recognized as beautiful even in modern times, so the jealous three sisters search for modern beauty, steal various parts from other characters, and compete in changing their own images..."
This project was started with the support of the cost of production and travel associated with the exhibition.
The goal amount was set at ¥250,000, which was successfully met on Nov 3, 2012. The search for patrons has finished.
