私が住む市街地には狭い土地にたくさんの人が住んでいる。１つのマンションに何人の人が住んでいるだろう。私はマンションの様な所に住んだことがなかった。それは今年の9月、私が札幌の中心地に部屋を借りた時。そのマンションには人の気配があまりなく、部屋の上からも横からも人の声が全くしなかった。しかし玄関の外の廊下はすごく静かで、外出する時や帰った時私は気を使ってしまう。鍵を開ける時の金属が触れ合う音だけでも気になってしまう。だから私は昼間でもすごく慎重に音がしない様に生活した。

In the urban area where I live, there are many people living in a narrow land. I wonder how many people live in one condominium. I had never lived in a place like condominium. First time I lived in such a place was when I rented a room in the center of Sapporo this September. The condominium looked rather desolate, I heard no voice from the upper floor and the room next to me. However, the corridor outside my entrance is very quiet so I naturally become careful when going out or when I return not to make any sound. I feel uneasy even when I unlock my door and metals touch and make sound. Therefore, I led my life very carefully not to make any sound even in daytime.

In the urban area where I live, there are many people who are living in teeny spaces. I wonder how many people are living in a apartment building. This was my first experience to live in an apartment. Last year in September, I rented a room in the middle of Sapporo. There weren't many signs of other renters' presence in the apartment. I didn't hear any noise from the upstairs nor the next doors. However, since the hallway was always quite, I was very careful trying not to make any noise when I go out and come home. Even the metallic sound of unlocking the door bothered me. Thus I tried to live as quiet as possible even during the day.
