Why do many people visit Kyoto in autumn? Of couse maple leaves alone can be seen in Tokyo and other areas. However, beauty of form that the town of Kyoto, once an ancient capital of Japan has, colored gracefully by maple leaves, cannot be found anywhere else. Autumn is the season to fully appreciate many temples and shrines with long history. Additionally, autumn deepens rich dining culture.
