As it is understandable that manufacturing needs time and labour, 40 dollars per item is fine. There is no problem regarding the shipping time either.
I own a specialized store in Japan. If you could do something with the shipping fee which could allow me to purchase the item cheaper, I think I could purchase even more from you in the future.
