Listen to the people around you. People can give you feedback about many of the things we tend to be oblivious to. Sometimes others see things about us that we would prefer not to see, but which we need to know about. Other times they see things a different way, because their value systems are different, but they can give us an idea we wouldn't have thought about. So listen to other people, especially the people you trust, and pay attention to what they say. You may come away with new insights.

周りにいる人の言うことをよく聞くこと。普段は気にも留めないたくさんのことをどう思っているか伝えてくれる。他の人は考えたくもないが知っておかないといけない自分たちのことをよく見ているものだ。異なる見方で物事を捉えていることもあるのは、価値観が違うからだ。そうは言っても考えてもみなかった思いを伝えてくれる。それだけ周りの人の言うことを、信頼している人の言うことについてはなおのこと、よく聞かないといけないし、気に留めておかないといけない。そうすれば、今までにはなかった考え方を身に付けられるものだ。
