I suggest you look at your business or personal life, and pick an area to experiment with. Raise the bar in that area, and do a little more to see what happens. How do you feel about yourself? Did you get any rewards? What did you have to give up to do it? I think you will find that you will give yourself a psychological boost as a result of it, and this boost will cause you to raise the bar again, or to pick another area to experiment in. Don't hold back-give yourself permission to live up to your full potential and you will be surprised at how good you will feel.

自分の仕事や私生活を見渡し、実験してみようという分野を一つ選んでみよう。その分野において自分のバーを引き上げ、ちょっとだけ多目にやってみることで何が起こるか見てみよう。自分がどんな気持ちになるのか？何か成果が得られたか？そうすることで何か諦めなければならないことがあったか？その結果としてあなた自身に心理的な高揚感が得られるのがわかるだろう。そしてその高揚感のおかげで、さらにまた自分のバーを引き上げ、実験すべき新たな分野を選ぶことになるだろう。自分のポテンシャルを最大限に引き出すためにも自制すべきではない。そうすればどれだけ気分が良いかがわかって驚くであろう。
