It is a two stage process, once all the preliminaries are out of the way, I put the information into a file for invited suppliers and then pass over to the sales team to follow up with head of sales and marketing.
We like to cater to our suppliers on an individual basis and normally they would give us a price for an item that would allow both parties to earn a profit. We rely on our supplier's being able to offer us a fair re sale value that still allows them to earn a profit for themselves and we mark up the item to include our custom fees and postal charges.
With other suppliers of higher retail value, we would request an outright commission of sale which is deducted prior to sending the payment to the supplier.
Payment is made immediately via PayPal less our mark up or if supplier would prefer to pay us commission per item. We are flexible and work with supplier to meet a mutual agreement.
Once agreed, we invite the supplier to complete our on line form, giving details of full address, contact, trading etc and our legal department will draw up a brief supplier agreement so both parties are protected.
